We had a full coach on an absolutely glorious day with a Bucks Fizz welcome drink and biscuit on arrival. Despite some unavoidable changes in the schedule, everyone enjoyed the lunch, castle visit, going to the village to see the Chidding Stone and the Church, followed by a cream tea. The gardens were not at their best, but the walk on the pretty bridge over the lake made up for this. As has become the custom, there was a light-hearted quiz on the coach and a very popular sweepstake.
