A completely full coach of 53 members departed on time for this year’s GPHS coach outing. Stopping first at Runnymede for a group drink of Bucks Fizz and a visit to the Magna Carta Memorial and the Kennedy Memorial for those who were able to make the 10-minute walk. Others went for a walk along the Thames in brilliant sunshine. After this stop, it was the Wheatsheaf Hotel at Virginia Water for a Roast lunch, served quickly and efficiently and enjoyed by all. By 2 0’clock we were greeted at the Savill Garden for a relaxing afternoon walking around the garden which is on the Windsor Estate. There was a quiz on the coach won by Jacqueline and Steve, and a very well supported Sweepstake with the first prize of £100 won by Joy Barnfield, with two consolation prizes of £20. A good time was had by all.
